Abstract

The article considers the possibility of using artificial intelligence (AI) and artificial neural network (ANN) technologies in the system of substantiation of business decisions, in particular strategic ones, by a modern business organization. The architecture of the mechanism for making management resource- and risk-balanced decisions by the management of the enterprise based on the use of large arrays of evaluation information, the so-called "Big Data", which describes the past, current and future both internal and external (both macro- and direct-market) business environment of the enterprise in light of its potential advantages or disadvantages and opportunities or threats for it in a certain business, which are detected with the help of ANN as an element of AI, is presented. The rationale for making strategic decisions regarding the key issues of the operation and development of the enterprise for the future in a dynamic business environment is based on the AI-mediated search and evaluation of optimal combinations and ways (interpreted by us as a stratagem) of applying the potential advantages of the enterprise to use opportunities and avoid threats that exist or may arise in the business environment of the enterprise's operation in the future, in light of the identified and most likely conditions and trends in the development of this business environment as well as the risks that may arise in it for the enterprise. This search and evaluation, in our opinion, can and should be carried out with the help of procedures and algorithms and based on criteria laid down within the limits and capabilities of individual neurons of the ANN, which will have the form of F. Rosenblatt's preceptron model. And confirmation of the possibility of such use of ANN for solving problems (both particular and complex) of strategic business management is served by the fact that the world's leading companies, in order to achieve success in business, today widely implement tools, algorithms and analytical procedures based on AI and ANNs into their management systems, which allow them to develop a general information program that makes it possible to: a) better understand both the business processes at the enterprise and the processes in the business environment of the enterprise; b) focus on the biggest and highest priorities of the enterprise; c) preserve existing opportunities for success and methods of conducting business and competition (business models), adding new ones, and therefore make optimal, effective decisions and strategies for the future.
