MONITORING THE CURRENT STATE OF ATTRACTING FOREIGN IN-VESTMENTS IN THE ECONOMY OF UKRAINE
Abstract
The article examines the processes of direct foreign investment in the economy of Ukraine. The relevance of the research is determined, first of all, by the need to study the past trends of foreign investment, to identify the fac-tors of their formation, the reasons for the growth and decline of the level of foreign capital investment. Particular at-tention is paid to the current state of foreign investment, factors that determine the possibility of development of busi-ness structures in a period of significant economic and political uncertainty. Analytical methods, methods of retrospec-tive analysis, scientific abstraction and economic experiment were used in the article, which made it possible to reveal its purpose and tasks. The article focuses on the features of direct foreign investment in the economy of Ukraine. The dynamics of the foreign direct investments volume and the consumer price index in Ukraine in 2010-2021 were ana-lyzed. It was determined that at the highest level of inflation, which reflected the signs of the economic crisis in Ukraine in 2014-2015, a decrease in the rate of growth of foreign investment in domestic enterprises was observed. Special attention is focused on the analysis of the dynamics of foreign direct investment in the regions of Ukraine in 2021. According to the results of the study, the most promising and depressed regions were determined according to the crite-rion of the effectiveness of foreign investment. The main strategic partners of Ukraine in the field of capital investments were studied and analyzed. The state of foreign investment by industry was analyzed, and the most investment-attractive industries of the national economy were determined. It is proposed to use the global trends of foreign investment in the context of studying the priority directions of the development of the world economy and the main competitive industries. Prerequisites for making foreign investments in Ukraine during war hostilities have been determined.
