MODERN WHEELED GADGET – A TOY OR A PERSONAL VEHICLE
Abstract
The article deals with and analyzes the issues of commodity characteristic and classification of the modern electric vehicles. The new type of this product has many names, it is called gyroscooter, sigway, mini-sigway, gyroboard and even an electric scooter. The gyroscooter is similar to a regular scooter, but the main difference from scooters with gasoline or electric engine (electric scooters) - the availability of gyroscopic sensors. It is concluded that all these products are classified in Chapter XVII of the Harmonized Commodity Description and Product Coding System (Means of Ground Transport, Aircraft, Floating Facilities and Transport-Related Devices and Equipment) in Group 87 (Means of Ground Transport except Railway or Tram Rolling Stock, their Parts and Equipment), 8711 (Motorcycles (including Mopeds) and Bikes with Auxiliary Engine, with or without Wheelchairs; Carriages), 8711 90 (Other). This commodity position also includes a group of two-wheeled motor vehicles that are designed primarily for the transportation of people.
