THE EVALUATION OF INNOVATIVENESS OF UKRAINIAN ENTERPRISES IN THE CONTEXT OF STUDY OF THE STATE AND PROBLEMS OF CORPORATE ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Abstract

The article is devoted to actual problems of decline in innovation activity of Ukrainian organizations and corresponding decline in other valuation indicators of economic state of enterprises: competitiveness, flexibility, adaptability and efficiency. The state and problems of corporate entrepreneurship development are considered as determinant of low innovativeness of Ukrainian enterprises. The purpose of the article is to conduct the analysis of innovation activity of Ukrainian organizations and based on results provide propositions aimed at stimulating innovations in internal corporate environment. The methods applied include dynamic and comparative statistical analysis of innovation activity of organizations from Ukraine and European Union. The results of research proved extremely low level and the existence of negative dynamic of most indicators of innovativeness: the decrease in turnover of innovation goods and services, decline in number of innovations implemented by organizations, a huge gap in level and intensity of innovation activity of Ukrainian and European enterprises. It is highlighted that such tendencies create risks of lack of employee motivation to generate innovative solutions, reduction of market share, decline in efficiency and liquidation of enterprises. The managers of Ukrainian organizations should take purposeful actions aimed at stimulation of corporate innovations. It is emphasized that the implementation of corporate entrepreneurship in practice of organizations can stimulate innovations inside corporate environment. Principles of corporate entrepreneurship like decentralization of resources and power, free exchange of ideas and knowledge, availability of financial resources and equipment, high speed of decision making concerning the realization of innovative ideas create prerequisites for launching corporate startups inside organizations. The increase in number and frequency of generation of innovative solutions by employees and search for external innovative ideas may provide diversified portfolio of innovation for enterprise. It is summarized that corporate entrepreneurship creates favorable circumstances for the opening of new markets and the creation of new business directions, rapid response to change, implementation of the strategy of innovation-oriented enterprise.
