Abstract
The purpose of this article is to provide an econometric assessment of the impact of key innovative development factors on household income formation in Ukraine using a correlation and regression approach; to determine the strength of relationships between innovation activity and the population’s welfare level; and to substantiate priority directions of public policy for stimulating innovation as a tool for ensuring sustainable socioeconomic development. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study comprises the provisions of contemporary economic theory and the concepts of the knowledge economy, innovative development, and sustainable development. To achieve the stated purpose, a set of general scientific and specialized research methods was employed, including system analysis, statistical analysis, comparative analysis, economic and mathematical modelling, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, the least squares method, elasticity coefficient analysis, scenario forecasting, and graphical interpretation of results. A multifactor regression model was developed to quantitatively assess the impact of enterprise innovation activity, research and development expenditure, labour productivity, the level of economic digitalization, employment, and capital investment on household income formation in Ukraine. The correlation analysis confirmed a stable positive statistical relationship between innovative development and household income. Labour productivity, economic digitalization, and investment activity were identified as the most significant factors. The calculated elasticity coefficients demonstrate that these factors generate the greatest increase in household income in the long run. The scientific novelty lies in developing a methodological approach to assessing the impact of innovative development on household income by combining correlation and regression analysis, factor elasticity assessment, and scenario forecasting. This makes it possible to determine the priority of individual areas of public innovation policy according to the strength of their impact on the population’s socioeconomic well-being.
