Abstract
Abstract. The article examines the process of implementing safety and insurance standards in the tourism and recreation sector in the context of increasing risks and uncertainty in the modern market environment. The relevance of the topic is due to the need to ensure a high level of protection for tourists, improve the quality of tourist services and form sustainable competitive positions of tourism entities. The methodological basis of the study is a systematic approach, which allows considering standardization as a comprehensive risk management tool in conjunction with security and insurance protection mechanisms. The study reveals the essence of international standards in the tourism sector, in particular in terms of risk management, ensuring service security and improving service quality. It was established that their implementation contributes to reducing the likelihood of risk situations, increasing the transparency of processes and strengthening consumer trust in tourism enterprises. Key features of the implementation of standards are identified, including the need to adapt to national conditions, limited financial and organizational resources, as well as an insufficient level of institutional support. It is substantiated that the standardization of safety and insurance has a significant impact on the competitiveness of tourism enterprises by increasing management efficiency, optimizing internal processes and forming a positive image. It is proven that the use of a risk-oriented approach contributes to increasing the resilience of enterprises to external challenges and ensures the long-term development of the industry. Directions for improving the processes of implementing standards are proposed, which include the development of regulatory and legal support, the active implementation of digital technologies, improving personnel skills and encouraging enterprises to apply international practices. The results obtained can be used in the practical activities of tourism enterprises and in the formation of state policy in the field of tourism and recreation. Further research should be associated with the development of effective mechanisms for integrating safety and insurance standards into the activities of tourism enterprises, as well as with the study of the impact of digital technologies on the development of the risk management system in the field of tourism and recreation.
