MONETARY POLICY IN THE CRISIS ECONOMY OF UKRAINE

Abstract

Abstract. The article deals with the main aspects of monetary policy in the conditions of the crisis economy of Ukraine and proposes ways to increase its efficiency, where the key ways are determined due to compliance with the guidelines of the inflation targeting strategy; the preconditions and advantages of introducing inflation targeting as the most optimal mode of the monetary system are disclosed, the efficiency of its use in Ukraine was investigated, the dependence of inflationary fluctuations on devaluation trends in the conditions of the national economy was substantiated; the dynamics of the balance of payments indicators was analyzed and ways of improving its condition were proposed, which would reduce devaluation pressure in the conditions of low efficiency of the interventions tool; the consequences of applying the practice of administrative restrictions in the field of currency regulation are investigated, the necessity of its revision in the direction of deregulation is substantiated.
