Abstract

Abstract. The special features of state regulatory impact on the activity of financial institutions that are insti- tutional investors are considered in the article. It is indicated that an entire system of state regulation of institutional investment as a separate segment of the financial sector in Ukraine is not formed yet. The need to improve state regulation efficiency of the activity of the surveyed institutions in order to ensure their stable operation on the basis of common principles and rules, to avoid crisis phenomena in the process of investment and to protect the rights of collective investment is pointed out. It is concluded that the higher efficiency of state regulation and promotion of non-banking institutional investment can be reached in case of the implementation of a consolidated supervision model in the country within which the functions of regulation, supervision and control of financial institutions will be entrusted to one body. The prospects for further research are related to the definition of the strategy of non- banking institutional investors in Ukraine.
