Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of the article is to develop applied foundations of an ethical operating model for hospitality enterprises during wartime. The study focuses on changes in managerial logic. Today, accommodation, food service, and customer service establishments combine commercial objectives with social support for the population, ensuring guest safety and stabilising local labour markets. The methodology is based on a systemic approach, structural-functional analysis, and comparison of crisis management practices. Generalisation of corporate behavioural standards and applied modelling of service solutions were also used. The information base consisted of scientific publications, industry materials, corporate codes of ethics, and recent studies in the hospitality sector. The study found that during a crisis period ethics ceases to be a reputational addition to business. It moves into the sphere of operational efficiency. Enterprises that ensure proper communication, protection of customer privacy, and transparent booking rules demonstrate higher demand resilience. Flexible responses to emergency events and respect for vulnerable categories of guests are also of considerable importance. It has been proven that workforce stability largely depends on fair remuneration, predictable schedules, safe working conditions, and an internal culture of respect. Open digital communication reduces reputational losses, while local cooperation with communities strengthens trust in the brand. The expediency of introducing corporate codes of conduct, ethical service protocols, staff support programmes, and standards for crisis communication with guests has been substantiated. The practical significance of the results lies in the possibility of using the proposed solutions in hotels, restaurants, hostels, and other service enterprises. This will help them restore competitive positions, reduce conflict-related costs, and strengthen customer loyalty. The scientific novelty lies in combining the ethical approach with anti-crisis management. In addition, an assessment of the competitiveness of hospitality enterprises under wartime risks and structural transformations has been proposed.
