PROSPECTS OF THE MARKET OF ORTHOPAEDIC MATTRESSES OF DOMESTIC PRODUCTION

Abstract

The article highlights the situation in the domestic market of orthopaedic mattresses, analyses the production of orthopaedic mattresses in terms of their types and major manufacturers according to statistics, determines mattresses market segmentation by regions of Ukraine, provides information on the structure, volume and dynamics of exports of orthopaedic mattresses and major exporting countries, reveals the main directions of development of national enterprises in domestic and European markets, the search for sales channels. The study found that currently in Ukraine there is established the production of quality orthopaedic mattresses at an affordable prices, which is primarily beneficial to domestic customers, as the price of Ukrainian-made mattresses is much lower, and therefore allows people of various income to choose mattresses they want. The article contains monitoring of Ukrainian manufacturers of orthopaedic products, in particular, the pricing policy of mattress manufacturers is analysed and substantiated; their positioning on the market, the main advantages of domestic mattress manufacturers over foreign ones are given as well as the attention is paid to the certification of orthopaedic mattresses. The article systematises the consumer benefits of domestic orthopaedic mattresses for consumers, describes the innovative fillers of orthopaedic mattresses that determine the orthopaedic and anatomical effect as well as substantiates the use of modern technologies for the manufacture of orthopaedic mattresses, which will increase demand both in domestic and foreign markets. It is concluded that in the near future the Ukrainian mattresses market will be dominated by existing domestic manufacturers, as due to complex bureaucratic procedures and the lack of a competitive raw material base, foreign companies will not open their factories in Ukraine.
