Abstract
The article examines tourism development programs in the regions of Ukraine. It was determined that in the complex realities of today, Ukraine does not belong to the list of world leaders in terms of tourist visits. However, its climate, geographical position, topography, recreational potential and cultural heritage, when implementing effective tourism development programs in specific regions, will in the long run provide the basis for the development of both domestic and international tourism. It has been established that tourism is an industry that significantly affects the socio-economic development of territories. The essence of the concept of region and tourist region has been studied. In Ukraine, the development of tourist regions is currently regulated by the State Regional Development Strategy for 2021-2027, which was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in 2020. As in any important matter, programs for the development of tourist regions in Ukraine have various types of threats and risks. The article systematizes the classification of threats and risks in tourism development programs in the regions of Ukraine. Analyzing the tourism industry in the region, it is worth understanding the total volume of tourists served by tour operators and travel agents for a certain period of time. The article analyzes the number of tourists served by tour operators and travel agents in the Dnipropetrovsk region for 2010-2020. In the total number of tourists served during 2010-2020, the largest number in the Dnipropetrovsk region consists of outbound tourists, that is, those people who permanently live in the Dnipropetrovsk region and travel to other countries. Summarizing the conducted research, it should be emphasized that the tourism industry of Ukraine is at a stage of development that has slowed down significantly due to the Russian military aggression against Ukraine, but despite this, the regions of Ukraine, whenever possible, implement programs for the development of tourist regions. The analysis proved that the development and implementation of the Tourism Development Strategy is extremely important for each region, because it clearly regulates problematic aspects in the development of tourism and specific measures to solve them, the implementation of which contributes to the sustainable development of tourism in a specific region of Ukraine.
