Abstract

The article analyzes the concept of green hotel business as an important element in the sustainable development of tourism. Attention is focused on the need to integrate environmental standards into the hotel industry, highlighting key aspects of environmental responsibility. The potential of green hotel business in increasing environmental awareness and attractiveness of tourist regions is analyzed. Innovative approaches to environmental management in hotels are considered, including the use of alternative energy sources, efficient management of waste and water resources. Special attention is paid to the role of environmental certifications in ensuring sustainable development standards and their impact on the image and competitiveness of the hotel business. The article emphasizes the importance of a balanced approach to the development of the hotel business, which includes taking into account environmental, social and economic aspects. Examples of successful environmental initiatives in hotels of different countries and their contribution to the promotion of sustainable tourism are highlighted. In addition, the challenges and prospects facing the hotel business in the context of environmental protection and sustainable development are discussed. On the basis of the conducted analysis, conclusions were formed, in which it is noted that the green hotel business plays an important role in ensuring environmental safety and sustainable development. Focusing on ecological standards not only helps to reduce the impact on the environment, but also positively affects the image of the hotel and its attractiveness for environmentally conscious tourists. Implementation of green technologies, efficient use of resources, minimization of waste and use of ecological materials in construction and maintenance are key elements that allow hotels to reduce their environmental footprint and contribute to a sustainable future. Prospects for further research are offered, which consist in the development and implementation of the latest environmentally friendly technologies that can reduce the impact of the hotel industry on the environment.
