ECOLOGICAL SAFETY OF FOOD PRODUCTS
Abstract
The article analyzes the situation of food and food raw materials safety, systematizes the safety problems and the pollution factors. The problems of ecological safety of food products, influence of the state of the environment on their quality, the consequences of their pollution as well as the ways of improving their composition and quality are considered. Based on the analysis of the literature sources, the negative impact of food products on the human body is shown. The problems of formation of the national system of technical regulation in the field of food products safety are identified. The basic directions of harmonization of the state policy of ensuring the quality and safety of products to international requirements are revealed. The important role of social initiatives in this field is shown; Ukrainian manu-facturers are obliged to improve the quality of products, to conduct certification, to adhere to the principles of sustain-able development, to study the experience of foreign enterprises. The effective direction of this activity is environmental responsibility of the business, that is, concern for the environment and the use of resource-saving technologies that contribute to the high quality and safety of the products being produced. Legislative regulation of social responsibility of business in the food products market is substantiated.
