STATE AND PROBLEMS OF DEVELOPMENT OF THE FLORICULTURE IN UKRAINE
Abstract
The article outlines the main issues concerning the formation of the flower market in Ukraine, the conditions and prospects for its development. The indicators of import and export of flowers in Ukraine for 2012-2017 and the factors determining their dynamics are analyzed. The world leaders in the production of flower products in terms of assortment are characterized. Information is provided about the domestic players of the flower industry as well as the problems associated with the development of floriculture in Ukraine and the implementation of finished products are identified. It is concluded that Ukrainian florists are aiming at the wide use of the possibilities of modernizing heating systems, introducing computer technologies for controlling the growing process, using climate control systems, using drip irrigation, which will bring the Ukrainian floriculture to the world level.
