US FOREIGN TRADE: STATE, STRUCTURE, DIRECTIONS AND TRENDS OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This article analyzes the country's export and import, the economy of which is the most developed in the world. Comparison of goods and services import and export indices for the past years has been carried out. The state's current successes in the field of economy are shown. It has been investigated which goods are most exported by and imported to the United States. It is revealed that the great innovative potential, well-elaborated effective mechanisms of its functioning and the established institutional structure give the United States the opportunity to assert its positions in the world economy. As a result of the study, it was concluded that US leadership in the world economy is mainly provided by the superiority over other countries in terms of scale and wealth of the market, the degree of market structures development, the level of scientific and technical potential, a powerful and extensive system of world economic relations with other countries in terms of trade, investment and bank capital.
