BASIC PRINCIPLES AND DIRECTIONS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TOURISM IN THE TERNOPIL REGION

Abstract

The article highlights the process of the development of the tourism in the Ternopil Region in 2018–2020 and describes a powerful basis for the successful development of the tourism in the region. It’s analyzed the concentration of the monuments of the culture, history and architecture, where the lion's share is the monuments of the defensive architecture. The development of the castle tourism in the region and its potential are presented. The opinion is expressed that castle tourism can become a unifying basis for the organization and successful realization of other types of tourism. The castle objects of the Ternopil region need to be transformed into a multicultural space, used for еру holding various events. It’s researched that the significant part of the historical and cultural heritage consists of the monuments of history and architecture, which include houses and structures, associated with important historical events. They also make up a significant part of the resource base for the development of the cultural and educational tourism in the region. Five historical town halls of the Ternopil region reflect the urban development of the region in the 18th–19th centuries. The historical peculiarities of the formation and the modern status of the religious tourism in the Ternopil region are analyzed. In the researched region, potential tourists can get to know with the cultural and religious heritage of the various religious directions. Problematic aspects of the development of the religious tourism in the Ternopil land were detected. It’s presented the process of the formation of the green tourism, which is one of the perspective components of the socio-economic stability of Ukrainian village. It’s highlighted the role in the revival of the cultural values of еру villages – as elements of the multifunctional and sustainable development of the rural areas. A large cultural and ethnographic heritage only strengthens the attractiveness of the green tourism, tightly coupled the economic potential with the unique nature and the cultural heritage. The opinion was expressed that it is necessary to prepare a number of the tourist products that will present Ternopil region on the hobby tourism market. A number of proposals for its development are presented on the example of a separate community. Strategic directions for the development of tourism in the Ternopil region are proposed.
