ESSENCE AND CAUSES OF INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL CONFLICTS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE RUSSIAN-UKRAINIAN WAR

Abstract

The article analyzes the causes and genesis of the Russian-Ukrainian political conflict, which in 2022 es-calated into a full-scale war in Ukraine. The aim of the study is to substantiate the nature and causes of international economic and political conflicts, as well as scientific and theoretical approaches to resolving the political conflict, which is the root cause of the Russian-Ukrainian war. In the course of the research the authors used the comparativehistorical method, the method of source analysis, as well as general philosophical methods such as induction, deduction, synthesis and analysis. To achieve the task set in the article, the essence of political and political-economic conflict is determined, the division of political and economic conflicts into conflicts of values, interests, identification, their essential causes are determined. War as an armed conflict is the most dangerous form of political conflict, as it causes the transition to destructive actions in the country, involves a large number of participants, significant losses among the military and civilians. The historical and contemporary reality in Ukraine since 2014 demonstrates that the political and armed conflicts that have emerged from post-Soviet society as a manifestation and consequence of serious contradictions that have not been resolved within the system of their time. That is why in the XXI century. armed, political, economic, and interethnic conflicts became widespread. For a long time, the prevailing view in domestic science was that state power and politics are designed to find a balance of interests in the seizure of natural, energy, and human resources, and this completely eliminates the conflict. However, the authorities of our state for eight years could not cope with the invasion of certain territories. The preconditions, the nature of the war on the territory of Ukraine as a political conflict are analyzed and the key directions of its solution are offered. It was concluded that Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO is a significant prospect for future guarantees of peace and protection against further or new invasion of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian territory.
