THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF UKRAINE'S DIGITAL ECONOMY

Abstract

The development of the digital economy is based on the use of intellectual resources, knowledge-intensive and information technologies, and high-tech products. It cyclically determines the qualitative innovative and technolog-ical transformations of all sectors of the economy, including the productive forces of society. With the help of infor-mation technologies, integration into the global economic space, internationalization, attractiveness for business occurs due to quick return on investment and high profitability. Information technologies make it possible to develop the scien-tific and technological potential of countries and change the structure of the national economy. In this regard, the arti-cle examines the essence and role of the state in the development of the digital national sphere. Prospective directions for the formation of the digital economy are substantiated. The theoretical foundations and practical aspects of digitali-zation of the economy of Ukraine have been studied. The peculiarities and characteristic features of the market of in-formation and communication technologies in Ukraine are revealed. It was concluded that the IT-sector is one of the leading sectors of the Ukrainian economy. The IT-industry is mostly export-oriented. In recent years, the export volume of computer soft services has been growing dynamically. Information technologies are increasingly spreading to vari-ous industries, as they allow automating production processes, increasing productivity and reducing costs. The article assesses the influence of the field of information and communication technologies on the economic growth of Ukraine. The priorities for the development of the digital economy in Ukraine are substantiated. The development of modern information and communication technologies is a strategic necessity and the most important component of creating a digital economy. This process ensures an increase in the country's national competitiveness. The use of information and communication technologies continues to be one of the most important factors that significantly affect all areas of the economy. Despite the complexity of doing business in modern conditions, the IT industry continues to pay taxes, which has a positive effect on the development of the Ukrainian economy.
