DIGITALIZATION OF THE ECONOMY IN UKRAINE: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to research and assess the level of digitalization of the Ukrainian economy, its place in the global digital market, and to highlight the prospects for the development of digitalization of the national economy. The article highlights that the global digitization brought about by the Fourth Industrial Revolution has been accelerated by COVID-19 pandemic, increasing the need for flexibility, adaptability and positive transformations of national economies. As the global economy rapidly digitizes, approximately 70% of the new value created over the next decade will be based on digital platform business models. But it is also worth noting that almost 2.7 billion people still do not have access to the Internet. Digital technologies have the potential to create new values for everyone, accelerate the development of the economy, make better services, but they risk further increasing alienation, unequal concentration of power, excess profits and social instability. It was emphasized that Ukraine also aspires to become one of the competitive digital economies and occupy its niche in the European space. creation of new digital services (Diya.City, map of air alarms, e-enemy, electronic submission for property restitution, electronic military bonds, and others). The article analyzes the main indices of digitalization of the economy and determines the place of Ukraine in the overall world rating. Conclusions were made about the level of digitization of the economy of Ukraine and its main priorities for the future. The main indices by which the national economy of Ukraine competes with other countries of the world have been established. The main directions of state policy in the field of digitization are outlined. Conclusions about the prospects for the development of the digital economy in Ukraine have been formed.
