TO THE ISSUE OF METHODICAL AND APPLIED TOOLS FOR ANALYSING THE ECONOMIC SECURITY OF RETAIL TRADE ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The issue of economic security is the subject of many scientific studies, which has formed a sufficient fun- damental basis for the methods of their analysis. However, existing methodical techniques do not always allow to take into account new challenges that enterprises face in the current conditions of constant, often unpredictable changes.The article substantiates the importance of developing new information and analytical methods, which, despite the wide coverage of factors and taking into account numerous trends, are based on a comprehensive approach, where priority is given to the processes of structuring, modeling, design, adaptation, etc. The changes in the tools for analyzing the economic security of enterprises are emphasized, depending on the industry characteristics and trends, which, like oth- er processes, must take into account the dynamic growth of challenges and shocks. Existing analytical approaches to assessing the economic security of retail enterprises are devoid of systematicity and complexity, because they mostly cover only individual processes, and therefore the author’s scientific assumptions relate specifically to the formation of an integrated approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis, takes into account industry characteristics and allows for a reliable assessment of the key components of economic security. Using the functional- structural approach, methodological and applied provisions for analyzing the economic security of retail enterprises have been formed. It is proposed to select methodological developments and analytical tools to determine the degree of economic security of retail enterprises according to the following components: financial and investment, marketing, logistics, information and analytical, innovation and technological, intellectual and personnel. It is proven that the formed information base of the chosen direction of analysis is of critical importance for identifying and modeling the impact of risks and threats to entrepreneurial activity in the retail sector, which are grouped in accordance with each component of economic security. A number of means and measures are also proposed to prevent and minimize the iden- tified risks and threats to the economic security of retail enterprises.
