TRENDS AND PROBLEMS OF DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN FORMATS OF RETAIL TRADE IN UKRAINE

Abstract

The article considers the essence of modern retail trade formats, different approaches to filling their content, changes in the structure of trade formats, their development in geographical terms. The aim of the article is to study new vectors in the field of development of modern retail formats in Ukraine and to identify restrictions in this process. The article examines the problems of modern trade formats, increasing theft and loss in trade enterprises due to increasing of their size and share of self-service, increasing difficulties with investments in commercial real estate, relatively high rents for commercial real estate in Eastern Europe, staff "hunger" in the industry and problems with increasing the motivation of human resources and related difficulties in establishing a promising modern trade service. It is found that the format of the store is a complex concept that depends on a set of factors that determine the standards and technologies of its operation. One of the most problematic and negative trends in recent years is the outflow of staff abroad and lasting staff "hunger" in Ukrainian retail. It is concluded that the main problems in the development of modern trading formats are theft and loss in stores carried out by buyers, suppliers and staff, insufficient work in the field of commercial real estate acquisitions, a sharp decline in human resources, backward motivational measures to eliminate theft and loss, reducing the staff transition to other industries and outflow abroad of professionals.
