FOREIGN INVESTMENT IN UKRAINE IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALIZATION AND INTEGRATION PROCESSES

Abstract

The article proves that modern international economic relations are formed and developed under the influence of globalization processes, which is a consequent of economic integration taking place at bilateral, regional and global levels, and their main generator is foreign direct investment, which through the internationalization of investment flows and the formation of the international financial market contributes to further acceleration of liberalization, integration and globalization of the world economy. A comprehensive analysis of the current state of foreign investment in Ukraine in the context of globalization is conducted. The main trends of investment flows, as well as the ratio of foreign direct investment inflows into the Ukrainian economy and foreign direct investment from Ukraine for 2010-2018 are revealed. Investment attractive factors that contribute to the expansion of investment ties with foreign partners in Ukraine have been identified. According to the results of the investment activity evaluation in Ukraine, it can be concluded that the improvement of investment climate should be among the priority tasks of the integration policy. It is proved that the movement of foreign capital and development of the investment market at the level of the domestic economy requires: 1) the unification of the legal framework; 2) development of investment institutions; 3) internationalization and integration of infrastructure; 4) transnationalization of commercial communications, commodity and financial markets, etc.
