TO THE ISSUE OF PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF EXCHANGE TRADE DEVELOPMENT IN UKRAINE
Abstract
The article considers theoretical and applied approaches to improving the organizational, financial, eco-nomic, marketing, managerial and technological aspects of exchange activities. Based on the analysis of the modern content of exchange activity, the essence of the main features of the exchange is determined and revealed. It is noted that exchange institutions have a system-forming importance for the establishment and development of national and global markets. The article states that in the organizational structure stock, commodity and currency exchanges domi-nate as well as ancillary infrastructure facilities. It is proved that international competition, globalization of commodity and stock markets lead to active consolidation of exchanges. The priority directions of exchange consolidation and structural changes in exchange trade are singled out. The process of transformation of the organizational and legal status of exchanges from non-commercial to commercial is revealed. The functions of exchanges are clarified through the prism of their role in economic systems - wholesale commodity and stock markets and at the level of a single ex-change. The peculiarities of futures trading are studied and a number of measures for its intensification are proposed. The necessity of exchange universalization for financial and commodity instruments trading on the basis of expansion of the range of instruments covered by modern exchange activity is substantiated. Conclusions are formulated to ensure further development of exchange trade in Ukraine.
