Abstract

The article addresses the protection of rights and legitimate interests of persons with disabilities and the challenges in building an inclusive society. In the context of a democratic state based on the principles of justice, equality, and humanity, it is essential to ensure their full and inviolable sense of rights protection. Persons with disabilities represent an integral part of the humanitarian mosaic, embodying uniqueness and diversity that enriches collective experience and expands the horizons of understanding human existence. The protection of the rights of persons with disabilities entails not only an act of justice but also an expression of respect for human dignity and individuality. The institution of protection is not only governed by legal and moral obligations but also by philosophical principles grounded in the belief in the importance of every human being’s right to full self-realization in society. The article examines the key challenges facing society in ensuring full, equal, and effective protection of the rights of this category of individuals. Social stereotypes and discrimination can hinder their full participation in societal life, creating barriers to realizing their potential and achieving goals. A crucial component of addressing these issues is the reevaluation and promotion of attitudes toward people with disabilities to build a more inclusive society. Public support and implementation of measures aimed at protecting and supporting the rights of persons with disabilities are vital steps in building an inclusive and just society. An inclusive society reflects the ideal of harmony and mutual understanding, where every individual has the opportunity to realize their potential and actively participate in all aspects of societal life.
